Mezzo-soprano

NATALIE CORRIGAN is a Mexican American mezzo soprano dedicated to celebrating diversity and storytelling through music. She has most recently been seen as Georgia O’Keeffe in Cincinnati Opera Opera Fusion: New Works in Washington National Opera’s commission of O’Keeffe: Kiss the Sky. Corrigan is an alumna of various prestigious companies including The Glimmerglass Festival, The Chautauqua Institution, Carnegie Hall’s Weill Education Joyce DiDonato Masterclass Series, and Houston Grand Opera YAVA. She is a recent graduate of University of Cincinnati, CCM. Upcoming, she is joining the Apprentice Program for Singers at The Santa Fe Opera.

Natalie challenges traditional operatic norms by centering her Mexican heritage and bilingualism in her artistry. Born with a cleft lip and palate, she is a passionate advocate for representation of the craniofacial difference community, using her career to demonstrate how authenticity and perseverance can expand the future of opera.
